About : Devotee Insanos Abhishek, Anurag and Jayant Anurag’s foray into the world of music started 10 years back as a classical vocalist. After 4 years of training in vocals, he started EMP (Electronic Music Production). He gave many auditions for reality shows and singing contests but nothing worked out. Abhishek had a natural talent with vocals and the guitar. The two being pretty decent dancers too, met during the college annual festival rehearsals and got to talking about the music scene. That one conversation snowballed into Devotees Insanos. It was not a single step, however. It was an arduous journey. There were many roadblocks, defeating them at twists and turns. Music cannot be the first choice of career for those hailing from a middle class background. The load of expectations and responsibilities is severe. And so it was for these three too. After graduating in 2014, the struggle to find a decent job ensued. The boys joined a six-month industrial training programme. From waking up at 5am, to getting to the institute after 2 hours of grueling travel to returning home dead tired, they did it all. Their only solace was a stable job at the end of the course and their succor was their music. Then one fine day, the trainer at the centre during his class said that it's not guaranteed that you people are going to get jobs after this and even if you get a decent job, the pay will not be more than 13k. That was a jolt like no other! It was shattering. Depressed, defeated and with no clear path ahead, the boys sat down to their music that night. While Abhishek belted out a tune on his guitar, Anurag sang the one line that was the birth of this song. He sang the words, “Main Thakk Gaya” an ode to how tired he was of it all, of all the mundane, brainless rat race. This song came to be a U-turn in their lives. It changed everything. The boys finally decided to enter the music industry, lock, stock and barrel. They talked to their families, undoubtedly upsetting them. Lakhs of rupees spent on education and now taking up a career that could make or break, with no guarantee of a regular income! But the boys were determined, held their ground and Devotees Insanos was born. They are going strong and how! Listen to this song, let it unfurl the passion in you, overcome what breaks you down. Be inspired! Photo Caption: Main Thak Gaya -the debut composition by Anurag, Abhishek and Jayant released by Steelbird Entertainment.
